In a heartfelt display of community support, the Dads of Castle Rock Foundation, located in Castle Rock, Colorado, has generously donated a golf cart to the security team at Douglas County High School (DCHS). One of the foundation’s members, who also serves as a security guard at DCHS, brought the need for the cart to the foundation’s attention, highlighting the necessity for better mobility around the campus to ensure student safety.

Robert Zearing, President of the Dads of Castle Rock Foundation, wasted no time in presenting the request to the foundation’s board, which swiftly approved the funding. “When we learned about the need, we knew this was a perfect opportunity to support our local high school and give back to the community,” Zearing said.

In addition to funding the cart, the foundation enlisted the help of Chris at Inkferno, who enthusiastically agreed to create and install a custom logo wrap featuring both DCHS and the Dads of Castle Rock. “Every time I see something like this, I chuckle back to how this all started,” commented Chris Ward in a Facebook post about the donation. “Nice work, Zearing—once again.”

The new cart, currently being prepped for its custom wrap, is expected to be delivered to DCHS security later this week. Local community members have shared their excitement about the donation. Josh Eckert humorously noted, “My mom is really going to appreciate this! Thanks, fellas!” Meanwhile, Hal Van Hercke added, “My wife at Castle View security is going to be jealous. Their security guard golf cart looks old and busted by comparison.”

Founded to unite the community, the Dads of Castle Rock Foundation is a group of local fathers who aim to be positive influences through their actions and involvement in community outreach. Their mission is to strengthen community ties by supporting local businesses and hosting projects or fundraising events for those facing difficult times. This latest effort is just one example of the group’s dedication to making a measurable impact in Castle Rock.

As the new school year kicks off, the DCHS security staff will soon have the added mobility they need, thanks to this thoughtful donation. The partnership between the Dads of Castle Rock Foundation and local businesses like Inkferno exemplifies how community-driven projects can make a real difference.

Stay tuned for the official unveiling of the golf cart, which will symbolize collaboration, safety, and community spirit at DCHS.
